CSc Teachers Workshop- 2013

ACM Hyderabad in collaboration with ACM India Education Committee is pleased to announce a five days workshop for Computer Science Teachers. This is the first workshop among the series of workshop planned to cover core computer science syllabous. As part of this workshop CS teachers will be trained on concepts related to Algorithms and Data Structure with hands on tutorials. Click Here to Register

Program (Every Day):

9:30 -- 11:00 -- First lecture.

11:00--11:30 -- Coffee Break

11:30--12:45 -- Second Lecture

12:45 --14:00 -- Lunch

14:00--15:15 -- Tutorials

15:45--17:15 -- Third Lecture

 

Syllabus:

The materials that will be covered as part of this workshop are generally the ones that form the part of basic algorithm course in AP:

·         Sorting and Searching

·         Basic Data Structures + Basic Graph Theory

·         Graph Algorithms (BFS, DFS and application)

·         Greedy Algorithms (Shortest path -- Disjktra's Algorithm and Minimum

·         Weight Spanning tree, some interval scheduling)

·         Dynamic Programming

·         Max Flow and Min Cut

·         Introduction to NP-completeness and basic reductions

 

Fees: Rs. 1000 + Applicable Taxes

(a.) Prof. N.S. Narayanaswamy -- He is an Associate Professor at IIT Madras, in the department of computer science and Engineering. More information about his work and interest can be found here.
