Village people have been having an interesting discussion on pairing
neighbors with the elderly. If there is more to say, it might be
continued on this discussion page. Or, in the future, this page may
support that kind of exchange of ideas. Since we are now open for
business, I wanted to welcome everyone to new opportunities. (I
haven't yet figured out how to transfer the link properly.) This was
the dialogue:
Saturday, June 5, from Susan, regarding this link

Interesting link. Other thoughts? Susan
Saturday June 5th, from Margaret: What is particularly interesting is
the small area they cover, and the high ratio of volunteers to elders
(like 2:1), and the small number of folks involved in what is reported
(maybe 75)...mhh
Monday, June 7th, from Chuck: I heard about another amazing one from
friends visiting from Madison, Wisconsin: Attic Angels. They also
have a very broad range of volunteers. They require the volunteers to
agree to a certain number of hours and a period of time (I think two
years) so they know the volunteers are committed. They also raise
lots of money with a sale of attic angels: an ultimate high-end
garage sale of donations from people's attics. Chuck
