Hello,

The project in Github looks not active, pending issues and pull requests.
Is hyde still active?

Thanks,

John

Your impression is correct, activity has in fact stalled. I am running
my own local fork of Hyde to maintain my site, and I assume others have
resorted to doing the same.

For a new project I would recommend you go with Pelican or Nikola or
something.

I've migrated my site to metalsmith.io (nodejs). All my content files were written in markdown, so those were easy to port (nothing to do) and jinja templates are mostly (not 100%) compatible with swig templates, which is supported out of the box. If you ever written or fought with Hyde plugins, metalsmith is a bliss, as the whole thing is designed to be driven by plugins (plugins was my biggest gripe with Hyde, which drove me to write my own static site generator, which eventually brought me to metalsmith).

John,

Will make sense to fork the project and join all the individual efforts together? hyde is a nice piece of code, IMHO better than jekyll.

Thanks,

Yes, it does seem to make sense to fork it. Likely someone just needs to take up the lead on that.
