TITLE: Middleware Engineer
LOCATION: Minneapolis, MN
DURATION: 3 months with possibility of extension
VISA: ANY - Expect OPT/CPT
NOTE: NEED GENINUE PROFILES ONLY
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED:
· 5+ years’ experience with two the following skillsets
· IBM MQ
· WebLogic
· Apache Tomcat
· Redhat Linux
· API Manager (WSO2 preferred)
· Container services (Docker preferred)
· Deployment Automation
· Scripting
DESCRIBTION:
· Troubleshoots and provides service for support requests, incidents and problems.
· Coordinate, Perform and implement COTS upgrades and new releases.
· Administer security and configuration settings within COTS software as appropriate.
· Support the installation and configuration of COTS environments and applications.
· Ensures that system performance and usage trends are monitored to ensure proper performance tuning and capacity planning metrics are available.
· Involved in key NMDP initiatives. Identifies, develops, and implements productivity improvements and environment simplification.
· Shares knowledge with Platform Services team to ensure that production support needs are met.
· Focused on mitigating risks, and issue resolution with customer service in mind.
· Works closely with IT development teams, users as well as vendors to define, implement, and maintain the best business solution.
· Ensures that application best practices are followed and web development environments are properly set up, maintained and accessible. Works with developers and others to design, enhance, support, and deploy applications.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Eight years work experience in a position that required complex middleware application and COTS system administration and support. Familiarity with using Tomcat and Unix/Linux operating systems.
Key Knowledge:
In-depth understanding and Experience supporting Tomcat Web Servers, IBM MQ. Docker Containerization experience and knowledge of Oracle Weblogic server preferred. Some familiarity with Windows .Net development desirable.
