Unmap device with out write disabling it

Guys,
 
Any of you have unmapped device with out doing write disable it.I believe we can write disable a device on particular SA using symdev write_disable  0EBC -sa # -p #
 
Scenario,
 
Unmap the celerra_fba device with out write disabling it as this device belongs to NAS , very less chance of getting downtime for this.

Is it write disabling or keeping in not ready state.

In my scenario, those LUNS are nas root disks, So I cant write disable/NR.

I beleave you can write disable one path at a time and unmap from that path and remap to new path.
 
Ex: NAS is mapped to 7a:0 and 10a:0
 
write disable 7a:0 first and unmap, in this case you will still have read/writes from other path ie. 10a:0
 
perform your next activity of mapping to new fa ports and do the same for other path once you got new path.
