Hey, it's John from tonight's meeting. Here's the escorting info for the March for Life weekend. Also, as I said at the meeting, the next general training is January 28 at MLK library downtown.

I've enjoyed working with WACDTF so I'm really excited to get involved with HFC this semester. It'd be great to have some more Georgetown students out at Planned Parenthood on 16th Street on Saturdays!

Also, could you please put me on the listserv? I think I was on it last semester but got bumped off for whatever reason.

Hi All,

Given that the March for Life (sic) is scheduled for next Monday, January 23, we're anticipated a larger than normal anti presence at the clinic this coming Saturday, January 21st. We also anticipate antis to be at the clinic prior to their March on Monday morning. In addition to our usual suspects, we'll have folks from out of town who are likely to stay longer and impede access to the clinic (and, frankly, block the sidewalk on 16th street for your average pedestrian!) even more than usual. As such, we're organizing into escorting shifts for both Saturday and Monday as follow:

Saturday, January 21
Early shift - 7:00 am - 10:00 am
Late shift - 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Monday, January 23
Early shift - 8:00 am - 9:30 am
Mid shift - 9:30 am - 11:00 am
Late shift - 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

We'll also need more folks than usual on Saturday, so please consider coming out to help this week if at all possible. If you are available on Saturday and/or Monday, please respond to this email with both the day(s) and shift(s) you can help. Also unlike a normal week, we will send you a confirmation email letting you know when we're expecting you.

Thanks in advance for your help this weekend and the work you do throughout the year to help ensure women's right to choose is a reality.
