End of the Semester Wrap Up!
HFC-Board
I apologize for the lack of semester updates, but we all know how busy
life at Georgetown is.
This semester's events:
1) Phone banking! This was a very successful night for us! As
elections rolled around, it was important to keep the women's rights
advocates and pro-choice candidates in office. Stay tuned for more
events like this.
2) Sonya Renee - this was a great event! We had a good turn out and
were able to connect with other groups on campus.
3) Canvassing - I know it's time consuming and not a lot of people
could go, but it was great to have some HFC'ers out there!
4) ChoiceUSA conference - we were able to connect with other prominent
pro-choicers out there, including the pro-choice group at GU. We're
hoping to organize a DC wide event with them!
Next semester's events:
1) Possible panel - if you have any ideas, contact us!
2) Choice week - a week full of pro-choice events
3) HFC PARTY - this should hopefully happen the first weekend that
we're back!
Want to get more involved?
1) Join our board. We meet every Tuesday night! We'd love to have some
more of your faces there!
2) Sign up to table for next semester. Lanier Hagerty will send out a
googledoc at the beginning of next semester and you can sign up to
table either Monday or Thursday OR BOTH!
3) Become a condom representative. We've been short on condoms this
year and I apologize for some of the hiccups that have occurred with
condom reps, but we're trying to work it out!
I wish everyone the best of luck during finals and I can't wait to see
you all next semester to make this our best HFC one yet!
