Hey Choicers!

This week is CHOICE WEEK! We have tons of fun events planned, and we can't wait to see you all there! Come out to support choice, to learn new things, to join in discussion, and to have an awesome pro-choice time!

I. Choice Week Schedule of Events 

Monday:
ASTERISK DAY (10-4 in Red Square)
Decorate an asterisk with what Choice means to you.

BRO-CHOICE 2! (8:15 WGR 211) 
A panel on the importance of male involvement in the pro-choice movement. 
Approved by SAC and co-sponsored by United Feminists, GU Men Creating Change, Georgetown Solidarity Committee, and Plan A. **Food will be provided**

Tuesday:
CONDOM FUN DAY (10-4 in Red Square)
Get your picture taken with Condom Man. Guess the number of condoms in the bucket to win a prize. Try your hand at practicing proper condom application and removal on our lovely demonstration model. 

[RACE AND SEXUALITY (8:00 WGR 201A)

Come hear from DC Blogger Latoya Peterson on the intersection between Race and Sexuality! There will be a lecture with a question and answer period afterwards.

Wednesday:
SEXTS, LIES, and POP CULTURE REFERENCES (10-4 in Red Square)
Come write a sex lie or myth that you’ve heard in pop culture on our big poster of "Sexts, Lies, and Pop Culture References." 

SEXTS FROM LAST NIGHT (8:15 WGR 204)
Join H*yas for Choice for a discussion of sex myths and misinformation in popular culture based on everyone’s favorite guilty pleasure: Texts from Last Night.

Thursday:
FREE BAGEL DAY (10-4 in Red Square)
Come by the H*yas for Choice table in your H*yas for Choice t-shirt and get a free bagel! (If you don’t have a shirt, they’ll be on sale at the table all week for only $5!)

MOVIE NIGHT: JESUS CAMP (8:15 ICC 113)
Join H*yas for Choice for a viewing of the documentary “Jesus Camp” which follows four kids to an Evangelical Christian Camp that prepares them to be “Warriors” for the Religious Right. *Food will be provided!*

Friday:
BAKE SALE (10-4 in Red Square)
Support HFC and get some tasty treats. It’s a win-win situation!

II. Tabling
We are going to be tabling in Red Square (Leavey if it's raining) every day this week. If you'd like to help out with tabling this week, email our tabling coordinator Rachel (rc...@georgetown.edu). 

III. Sign Up for the HFC Relay for Life Team
Relay for Life is almost here! Sign up to join the H*yas for Choice Relay for Life team and help us fight cancer! If you want a Relay shirt, you have to sign up by midnight tonight!

IV. H*yas for Choice T-Shirts Only $5!!!
Be sure to show your support for HFC by buying a t-shirt! They're now only $5 at the table in Red Square and a great way to show your pro-choice pride by wearing purple! You can also get a FREE BAGEL on Thursday if you wear your shirt!

V. ALUMNI
HFC now has an Alumni Newsletter! We'll send out an email with the current H*yas for Choice goings-on 3-4 times per year. It's a great way to keep up with HFC news without having to receive an email every week. If you'd like to join the Alumni Listserve, simply reply to this email with "Alumni," and your NetID/email address. 

VI. Facebook, Twitter, and the HFC Blog
H*yas for Choice is on Facebook and Twitter! Become a fan of our Facebook page and follow us on Twitter. We also have a new blog that is updated regularly with new events and ways to get involved with H*yas forChoice. Board members also write about Choice related subjects in the news. Add us to your blogroll! You'll always be up to date on what HFC is doing.
