Nandamuri Balakrishna (born 10 June 1960), widely known as Balakrishna and Balayya is an Indian actor, producer and politician known for his works in Telugu cinema.[2][3] Balakrishna is an elected member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Hindupuram constituency since 2014.[4] The sixth son of veteran actor and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. T. Rama Rao, Balakrishna made his debut as a child artist at the age of 14 with the film Tatamma Kala (1974).[5][6] Balakrishna is a recipient of three state Nandi Awards and one South Indian International Movie Award.[7] In 2012, Balakrishna was the chief guest at the 43rd IFFI.[8] Currently He serves as the Chairman of Basavatarakam Indo-American Cancer Hospital and Research Center in Hyderabad.[9]
Balakrishna made his acting debut as a child artiste in Tatamma Kala, which was directed by N. T. Rama Rao, his father. He acted in several films, many of which were directed by his father, including Daana Veera Soora Karna (1977), Sri Madvirata Parvam (1979), Akbar Salim Anarkali (1979) and Sri Tirupati Venkateswara Kalyanam (1979). At the age of 16, he acted in a movie titled Annadammula Anubandham (1975), a remake of Dharmendra's Hindi movie Yaadon Ki Baaraat, and played a brother to his real life father, Rama Rao. Balakrishna appeared as son to his real life brother Nandamuri Harikrishna in the movie Dana Veera Sura Karna.
At the age of four, Babu visited the sets of the Telugu film Needa (1979) where its director Dasari Narayana Rao shot a few sequences of his as a part of the narrative in the presence of the former's brother Ramesh.[non-primary source needed] Needa marked his debut as a child actor.[20] In 1983, he acted in Poratam (1983) upon being requested by its director Kodi Ramakrishna.[21] He went on to act as a child artist in the films Sankharavam (1987), Bazaar Rowdy (1988), Mugguru Kodukulu (1988) and Gudachari 117 (1989). He played a dual role in the film Koduku Diddina Kapuram (1989). Babu then appeared in Bala Chandrudu (1990), and Anna Thammudu (1990).[21][additional citation(s) needed]
Unfortunately, Teja Narla, the child artist who acted in the movies 'Murari', Ramadandu' etc. was found dead at Lakshman Jhula of Rishikesh. However, there has been a sort of confusion among the media circles about Teja Narla and Teja Sajja as they published the photoes of Teja Sajja as Teja Narla while reporting the matter.
Mahesh Babu (born Mahesh Ghattamaneni on 9 August 1975) is an Indian actor, producer, media personality, and philanthropist known for his works in Telugu cinema. He owns the production house G. Mahesh Babu Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. The younger son of veteran Telugu actor Krishna, Mahesh made his cameo as a child artist in Needa (1979), at the age of four, and acted in eight other films as a child artist. He made his debut as a lead actor with Rajakumarudu (1999) and won the State Nandi Award for Best Male Debut.

Initially terrified, Mahesh agreed to act in the film after being persuaded by the film's crew.[9] He went on to act as a child artist in the films Shankharavam (1987), Bazaar Rowdy (1988), Mugguru Kodukulu (1988) and Gudachari 117 (1989). He played a dual role in the film Koduku Diddina Kapuram (1989). Mahesh then appeared in Bala Chandrudu (1990), and Anna Thammudu (1990). Later, Mahesh continued his college studies.[14]
