Dear PCS Members,
As previously announced by the Election Committee, we will have a General Members Meeting this Sunday, for the following important actions:
1. Elections of Principal and Assistant Principal
2. Elections of 5 Board members
3. Vote on amended Bylaws
本周日将召开会员大会，进行年度选举（校长、副校长、5名董事）和修改校章投票。请大家务必参加，行使会员的主人权利。下午2：00选举大会开始，4：15投票结束。选举进程安排和候选人简介见附件。
For detailed election process and candidate profiles, you can refer to the General Member Meeting Notice from the Election Committee in the first attachment. The meeting starts at 2:00 pm and ballot casting ends at 4:15 pm. Please arrange your schedules accordingly.
We urge every PCS member family to participate in this important event of our school. It’s the best opportunity to exercise your rights as owners of this school. We had possible record turn-out in the Special Elections last December. If you voted then, there is stronger reason to vote now. It’s because the amended Bylaws would better represent and serve general members’ interests, and help ensure stability and smooth operations of the school. Its passing should become a major milestone in our school’s history.
After we rolled out the new school website recently, we have made further progress in improving the school’s communications with our general members. I am glad to announce that a new online forum (会员论坛) has been developed for this very purpose. It can be accessed from our website home page, or directly at http://hxpcs.org/Forum/. I’d like to thank the hard work by Mr. Rennan Pan, our board member and leader of Member Communication Task Force, and Mr. Warren Yang, our web administrator, and other Task Force members: Ms. Dongqing Shi, Ms. Hong Zeng, Ms. Kathy Wang, Ms. Weihong Liu, Mr. YingChao Zhang, and Mr. Yu Zhong.
All PCS members are encouraged to use the forum to discuss topics of common interest. The forum is structured to have two main categories: School Administration, and Members’ Exchanges. The following forums have been created to facilitate posting:

Our staff has been working hard in preparing for the opening of registration. We expect it to be ready by the first week of June. Please stay tuned for our further announcement in the coming days.

Community Events:
1) Village School PTA Needs a President
If your children are expected to be enrolled in Village School this fall, and you want to get more involved in activities at their school, this would be a great opportunity. Ms. Susan Roy, the current PTA President, has asked any interested parents to contact them. Please see her email in attachment for further details.
2) Primary Election (June 4)
Please check your mail for sample ballots and go out to vote on the upcoming Tuesday.
