1)    Vacancy on the PCS Board
Please see below for an announcement from the PCS Board.

Dear PCS Members,

Due to personal reasons, Mr. Teng, Fang has decided to resign from his board position, and has submitted his resignation letter to the school board on September 7th 2013.

Mr. Teng had served as a board member of the Finance Committee since July of 2012. Along with the board, Mr. Teng has contributed to and supported PCS’s long-term and on-going efforts to revise PCS financial regulation and improve financial review process. We greatly appreciate his service and contribution, and wish him continued success in his future endeavors.

The board has officially accepted Mr. Teng’s resignation, effective on September 14th 2013, and would like to fill the vacancy by posting the open position to all interested PCS general members.  Please email your intent and profile to bo...@hxpcs.org not later than Oct 2nd, 2013. The board will then conduct an interview on October 6, 2013, with general member’s participation, to decide on which candidate to be appointed as the new board member.

2)    Late Registration

3)    Free Walk-In Classes
The free classes of Senior English and Adult Chinese are offered as a service to our community.  All four free classes are open this week. No registration is required for these classes.

4)    Rules of Facility Use
I would like to reiterate the importance of keeping the facility in good condition and having an orderly learning environment for our children.  Please follow the directions by school Admin and volunteers.  We will strictly enforce these rules while the school is in session. Those who prefer to wait should use the dining halls, instead of staying around the classrooms. 为保证中文教学区安静， 除了值班家长，不许上课时有家长和学生在楼道上停留, 可去学校餐厅。值班家长将严格执行学校规定。

5)    Observation of Classes
I would like to remind you that parents can observe the Bilingual 2 class up to Week 4.  For all other classes, I would like to request that parents not observe the classes. If you would like to observe a class, please see Ye Lao Shi and Wang Lao Shi to obtain a pass.

7)    Huaxia Mind Sports Games ( 华夏中文学校智力运动会) on Sunday, 20Oct2013
HX Mind Sports games will be held at Huaxia Bridgewater Chinese School on Oct. 20, 2013, which will feature Weiqi (Go), Xiangqi, Chess, Bridge, Wuziqi, Sudoku, Pair Upgrade, Army Games, etc. Both you and your kids are encouraged to compete for these games. Please come to see Wang Qi/Chen Yanhui during school hours at Chinese School Admin Office (front hallway at High School North) on Sept. 22, 2013.
