HXPCS will be open for normal school activities on Sunday, 10Nov2013.

Following are the highlights for this week (Week 10).

1)    Mr. Yu Zhong won a seat on the WWP Board of Education
Mr. Yu Zhong, a current PCS member and a former PCS board member, won a seat on the WWP Board of Education in the general election on 05Nov2013. Congratulations!

2)    Class Parent Representative Task Force at HXPCS
Responses to the call for class parent representatives have been very positive.  Many parents have volunteered to be the class parent representatives.  There are still opportunities for you to volunteer if you are interested.  PCS needs your help to your child and the teacher to further enhance the quality of Chinese teaching in your child's class.

3)    Reminder: 2014 Spring Festival Celebration - Call for Performers to close on 15Nov2013
On the Oct. 6th meeting, the board of trustees appointed the former Principal, PCS Pop Star, David Hu as the producer of this year's show to celebrate the most important Chinese tradition.
PCS would love to provide a platform/stage for you to show your passion and talent and to enrich your off-work life.  If your kids/you have talent, dancing, singing, talking, performing, etc. and would like to show your talent in your legacy celebration, please kindly email the CNY Gala Producer, Mr. David Hu at david...@yahoo.com or call him @ 631-463-8768.  Our celebration also welcomes professional performers.  If you have connection to some professionals and they are willing to join us, please also let us know.
Please note, to help organize the celebration on schedule, this call for performers will be closed by 15Nov2013, so hurry up and do not miss the opportunity to shine on our own stage.

4)    Free one-time trial class on this week, 10Nov2013
PCS offers a free one-time trial class this Sunday, 10Nov2013, 4:15 - 5:00pm in the Gym.  The class will be instructed by Teacher Du.  Class description is provided below.  You are all welcome to take the trial class.  This class may be offered in the coming years.

成人舞蹈班 (free trial class on 10Nov2013, 4:15-5:00pm in the Gym)
教学内容：1：以形体梳理为主的基本功训练，着重进行肩背的拉坤及四肢的软开训练。2：本学期计划教授一支民族舞和一支当代舞。
教学目地：通过软开及拉抻方面训练，使身体更为柔软舒展，气质得到提升。通过舞蹈来训练身体的灵活性以及手、眼、身、法、步的协调统一。
教学要求：要求根据自身状况循序渐进，避免训练中的过快过猛。
