Dear PCS Members,

 

This Sunday is Mother’s Day. I’d like to wish all PCS moms a most happy Mother’s Day!

Thanks to the organization of school board and participation of our students and parents, we had great showings at the two major events on last Sunday.

While the official results have not been published, our athletes were clear standouts in the 15^th Huaxia Track & Field Games. Our male sprint teams dominated almost all events across all age groups. It’s regretful that we didn’t see as strong participations in female events. It seems we need to do more to attract PCS ladies to this sports event. In the meantime, I’d like to thank PCS board members Ms. Hong Bin Ni (倪红斌) and Mr. Zhaosheng Yang (杨照生) for their efforts in organizing our teams and handling the logistics at the Games. Several parents also volunteered to serve as referees throughout the day. Thank them for giving up personal time to help the community! As the organizers ran out of medals in the middle, many top 3 winners didn’t receive anything. We will work with Huaxia CS staff in rectifying the situation. Please be patient with us. I missed Plainsboro Founders Day last Sunday, but I heard our parade and stage performances were very well received. Thank PCS board member Ms. Weihong Liu (刘伟红) for coordinating our activities, and all students and parents who showed up to support this important community event! PCS board member Mr. Yu “Taylor” Zhong (仲宇) also helped at this event. In the May 2013 Edition of “The Journal of Plainsboro-West Windsor”, he published two stories about Plainsboro Township and its Founding (on page 9 and page 31). If some of you want to share pictures from these two events, or other PCS events, please contact me directly. We are collecting photos for PCS pages in the current year’s edition of Huaxia Yearbook.

We have been working on the development of new PCS website over the last few months. We welcome our general members to contribute contents, either in writing or by photos. We will make separate announcement when it’s ready.

We recently received some inquiries about parent duty service. Please note the school’s policy is one parent duty service per registered child. 1)      Special PCS Board Meeting

Time: 3:15 PM – 5:15 PM

Agenda:

·         Discuss and Vote on Revised Bylaws (90 minutes)

The board welcomes all interested general members to participate in the discussion and to observe the vote of the revised Bylaws.

·         Plans and Budget for the New School Year (20 minutes)

·         Other School Issues (20 minutes)

3)      Quakerbridge Learning Center (快捷教育中心 )SAT I Mock Test and Seminar
