Hi all,

I received this letter from the departing principal of HXCS, Wang Jian (John)and the members of the HXHQ trademark committee (Hu Dapeng being one).  Melissa proposed that we have a meeting next weekend to discuss and decide. But please review my reply and give me feedbacks.
Thanks.
Lijie

Hi John,

First of all, I appreciate very much the hospitality you and your colleagues showed me yesterday. I also appreciate our frank exchange on this matter over dinner.

Since there has been no communication regarding this issue after our meeting in February, the HXHQ's request came as a surprise to me.

However, I will pass your message immediately to the current board and other leaders of the school.

As for the proposed timeline, I am sure you would agree that, in order to achieve any meaningful or productive progress on the matter, the internal discussion among the HXNYC leaders has to occur first.

I will do my best to call for such a discussion as soon as possible but I cannot give you any clear dates as of now because this is a very hectic time, with registration and graduation taking place in the next couple of weeks.

As I stated yesterday and I am sure you will agree that this is not a decision that I or any individual of HXNYC can or wish to make alone. This is something our school has to deliberate before reaching a consensus.

Regards,
Lijie

Subject: HX trademark

Lijie, principal of HX NYC and HXHQ trademark committee,

As decision of HXHQ board,
1. HQ will discuss with HX NYC on HX trademark issue.
2. HXHQ requests HX NYC to either cancel it's current trademark or transfer the trademark to HXHQ (as HX NYC trademark has become the obstacle for HuaXia Chinese School to get its trademark approved.)
3. The request should be in written. (This email should serve the purpose.)

With HXHQ trademark response due on 7/6, HQ suggests the discussion start immediately. Due to long distance among various members of committee members and  NYC, Weekday evening teleconferences are suggested to be the  primary venue.

Starting Teleconference in week of June 8 th is recommended. If face to face discussion is required a middle location between NYC and NJ headquarters is reconnected for weekends before end of June.

All committee members should attend the teleconferences and the potential face to face meeting. A Witten correspondence should be in place if any member can't make the meetings.

Please provide 2 evening meeting schedule for next week, 9-10 pm.
