Hi,

I am new to the group but thought the approach could help something we are doing in the climate data space.

Subak.org is a new accelerator for climate-based non--profits, with a focus on growing a data.  We aim to build a data cooperative with members' data.  We have a few years' funding already and hope to grow quite fast.

I'd be very keen to learn more - if anyone who knows the HXL / general setup would be available to chat, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Dan

Hi Dan.

Since I think you're likely to ask a more general idea, feel free to ping me on my email. I'm new to HXL, but I think that beyond some generic things (like try first use HXL-proxy instead or go too deep on the programming part, since HXL-proxy is faster if just want to process data, even if you know programming) I think that your cooperative is likely to at least consider some extra conventions on attributes to use, since the base hashtags are likely to not cover some subjects. I may not know these attributes, but  since your team is starting something big, it makes sense to start to have at least some HXL examples focused on your use cases.

Also, one member of HXL-CPLP actually is very into the topic of water-related subjects in Brazil. On this topic, I think months later, Diego could change more specific ideas with your group.

Hi Dan and Emerson,

I hope that everything is good with you!

I am part of organizations that focus on water and governance, whether in a digital environment or in traditional communities. It's easy to give data, we do it daily on all platforms. The difficult thing is to extract from these platforms knowledge that allows the action and construction of our real world, solving deficiencies with harmony, without exclusions.

The HXL community is a awesome way for interactions that seek global connections and also partially meets the needs of those working in off-grid conditions. The potentials are immense and the difficulties in the field are even greater. There are many lessons learned from technological advances such as HXL and other technologies that we learned here

I'm available to contribute, let me know when

Atte,
C Diego
