Hello neighbors,

We wanted to share a few upcoming activities that may affect traffic, pedestrian access, street lighting, and evening conditions near Vanderbilt University.

Traffic and Pedestrian Impacts

Children's Way
Until August 1, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Children's Way will be under construction. The sidewalk will be closed for the full length of the project, and the pedestrian route will be relocated. Flag guards and signage will be in place to help direct both vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

25th Avenue South
From July 13 through July 26, a lane closure will be in place on 25th Avenue. Flag guards and signage will help direct traffic and pedestrians. Pedestrian access will remain on the existing west sidewalk until the new sidewalk is completed.

Vanderbilt Place
From July 20 through July 31, Vanderbilt Place will be closed from 25th Avenue South to Sarratt Circle for repaving. Flag guards and signage will be present to direct traffic and pedestrians.

Electrical Utilities Update

Electrical Outage
On July 22, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., an electrical outage will impact the street lighting on 25th Avenue South to Blakemore Avenue.

Evening Activity

Outdoor Track Lighting Work
We are targeting Friday, July 10, for after-sunset lighting work at the outdoor track. The lights are expected to remain on until approximately 11:30 p.m.

Thank you for your patience as this work is completed. We appreciate your understanding of the temporary impacts, and we welcome any questions you may have.
