The Irish Park Memorial Spring Plant Swap
This beloved community event is open to all and is FREE! You'll be able to swap plants and seeds, enjoy refreshments, and trade green-thumb tips with experienced and new gardeners alike. Invite a friend and "Bring what you can (or nothing at all). Take what you like."
Go Batty with Harmony Wildlife!
We are delighted to welcome to this spring's Plant Swap the bat experts of Harmony Wildlife Nature Center who'll tell how to attract mosquito-eating bats to green spaces. This non-profit will also show-and-tell how to build a bat-house. For those who'd like to take home a bat-house, Harmony will offer kits for sale for $50.
The HWEN Alleyway Pollinator Pathway Project
This is your chance to start that pollinator patch you've been thinking about. While at the Plant Swap, pick up a packet of native seeds, specially curated for our Middle Tennessee area. It's HWEN's way of beautifying and connecting our neighborhood alleyways and corners to support butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators. HWEN Alleyway Pollinator Pathway mixed wildflower seed packets are FREE, one to a household, while they last. (The next opportunity for picking up seeds will be at the Garden Tour on May 11th; order tickets at HWEN.org)
