Construction Updates

  • A series of road and lane closures are planned near the Roberts Academy construction site, 18th Avenue S and Edgehill, from Monday, April 7, to Friday, April 11 to conduct underground utility work.
  • Mayfield, a part of Housing and Residential Experience’s Living Learning Program, will be undergoing emergency utility repairs from March 31 through August 2025. Sidewalks along 25th Avenue S and 24th Avenue S will remain open during utility construction beginning Monday, March 31 in the Highland Quad to replace 10,000 waterlines for student use in fall 2025. However, pedestrian pathways within the fence line will be closed until the completion of the project.
  • To allow for two-way traffic, a new roadway will open April 7 to connect 24th Avenue South to Garland Avenue. The new roadway is located just between the former University Club and McTyeire Hall. Utility worked planned along 24th Avenue, new temporary roadway to open | Vanderbilt University

Traffic controllers on-site will assist with vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Be sure to plan ahead. Delays are expected, so map out your alternative route or schedule extra time for your commute.  All pedestrian and vehicle routes are subject to change; updates will be shared on the Facilities Instagram and X accounts.
