Are you planting or maintaining fruit trees this year? If so, this Saturday you'll be able to get tips from a pro.

 

The Second Sunday Gardeners and Metro Beautification and Environment Commissioner Miriam Mimms invite you to take part in a

 

FRUIT TREE PRUNING WORKSHOP 

Location: The Portland Park Mini-Orchard

(Portland Avenue & 21st Avenue, South)

Time: Saturday, March 14, 9:00 AM to 11 AM

With: Daniel Leavitt, ISA-Certified Arborist

FREE & OPEN TO ALL

 

Bring your favorite pruning tool and join a hands-on workshop led by ISA-Certified Arborist Daniel Leavitt of Metro Water Department, Storm Water Division. Extra tools, gloves, safety vests, and water will be provided. 

 

BONUS:

Come out and visit the best little pocket park in all of Metro Parks to see the wonderful work being done to promote pollinators by the Second Sunday Gardeners.
