Dear HWEN Neighbors,
As the Hillsboro-West End Neighborhood approaches the end-of-year, we are reaching out to you for support. No gift is too small. Your generous gift plays a vital role in helping us achieve our mission. Would you be willing to be one of those people who make a difference?

Your support helps HWEN enhance our neighborhood through events such as the return of the printed HWEN newsletter (2,000+ distribution), the Spring Garden Tour (for the past four years in a row) and the Dragon Music Sunday Concert and Ice Cream Social. We continue beautification initiatives such as public tree and median plantings, the Alleyway Pollinator Pathway Project, litter cleanups on Love Circle and elsewhere, residential tree distributions through Root Nashville and the Nashville Tree Foundation, HWEN Plant Swaps, and supplying Mutt Mitts stations on our streets throughout the year.
On a larger front, we advocate year-round for traffic calming, zoning and codes awareness, and institutional and government relations. We liaise with our historic community Fire Station Station No. 16 and the Midtown Hills Precinct. We have established a certified, public arboretum, and we continue the "Save Our Dragon" campaign to provide annual maintenance of our beloved neighborhood icon. And our volunteers reach out through our website, social media channels, yard-box flyers and banners, and the HWEN listserv (please share the signup link, here) to help keep everyone in the loop.
This year, we've witnessed an increase in questions, participation, and new ideas, underscoring the growing need for our work -- and every bit of it is volunteer-driven. Thanks to the incredible support of neighbors like yourself, this year brought many thoughtful, collaborative meetings with Vanderbilt University as it works on designing an Innovation District adjacent to our community.
Looking ahead, we're excited about the impact HWEN's 2026 new board members and officers will make in ensuring that our collective efforts continue to make a positive impact. Your ongoing support -- in any amount -- will help make us a stronger, more resilient neighborhood. As HWEN is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the window is closing fast to be able to deduct charitable donations in 2025, so now is the perfect time to make a contribution.
It is easy to contribute to your Hillsboro-West End Neighborhood, online, here.
Thank you for your consideration.
