Dear Neighbors,

Last chance to receive free trees as part of Root Nashville initiative, a citywide effort to plant 500,00 trees in Davidson County by 2050.

Each household may request up to 3 free trees (about 6 feet tall in 15-gallon containers), delivered directly to your home. If you are unable to dig the holes yourself, Root Nashville can help. You will just need to indicate this when you sign up.

You can choose from the below trees.

✅ How to Order (Deadline: Friday, August 30)
🌐 Submit your request here: trees.rootnashville.org/order
🌿 Explore the catalog: trees.rootnashville.org/catalog

🌳 Choose From These 7 Tree Species:

  1. Southern Magnolia – Evergreen with fragrant white blooms

  2. Shumard Oak – Stately canopy tree with red fall foliage

  3. Blackgum – Stunning red/orange fall leaves, wildlife-friendly

  4. ‘Canada Red’ Chokecherry – Compact, purple-leaf ornamental

  5. Bald Cypress – Fast-growing, feathery foliage, minimal needle drop

  6. American Yellowwood – Small flowering tree with yellow fall color

  7. Persimmon – Brilliant fall foliage with edible fruit

📦 Deliveries will begin in October 2025.

Please don’t miss this opportunity — trees are first-come, first-served! Feel free to reach out with any questions.

Warmly,
Lisa Wyatt
