Dear Neighbors,

We would like to share information about an upcoming event at FirstBank Stadium that may affect activity in the surrounding area, as well as an important construction update near campus.

Event Update:  Tight End University
Tuesday, June 23
FirstBank Stadium, Vanderbilt University
9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Tight End University is a multi-day football training event for NFL and college tight ends. On June 23, portions of the event will be open to the public for the first time.

Event Schedule

  • Plaza activities and music begin at 9 a.m.
  • Activities move inside the stadium at approximately 1 p.m.
  • Event concludes at 5:30 p.m.

Visitors can expect on-field training sessions, fan engagement activities, giveaways, interactive experiences, and special guest appearances.

Admission Information
The event is free and open to the public; however, advance tickets are required for entry. Available tickets are expected to be claimed quickly. Reserve your free tickets.

Neighborhood Impacts
Neighbors may notice increased activity around FirstBank Stadium throughout the day, including:

  • Amplified music, particularly during plaza activities
  • Increased pedestrian traffic
  • Additional vehicle traffic in the surrounding area

Construction Update: Garland Avenue Closure
Ongoing construction by Vanderbilt will require the closure of Garland Avenue between 24th Avenue South and 25th Avenue South from June 22 through the end of November to allow for the installation of new utilities.

During this period, a detour route to and from Medical Center North's shuttle drop-off area will be in place. Vehicular traffic will be rerouted via Highland Avenue to access Stevenson Center Lane and the Medical Center North Round Wing.

Traffic control personnel and directional signage will be on-site to assist both vehicles and pedestrians throughout the closure period.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as Vanderbilt hosts this event and continues infrastructure improvements on campus. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Thank you for being a valued neighbor.

Vanderbilt
