Hello community partner,

We are providing you with a daily Emergency Weather Update to keep you informed as conditions evolve across Nashville and Davidson County. These updates will include the latest information from Metro Departments on weather impacts, shelter operations, transportation changes, safety resources, and other essential details.

Our goal is to ensure you have timely, accurate information to support your communities during periods of severe or rapidly changing weather.

Share Your Needs

If Winter Storm Fern created a need for you and your household, submit it through Nashville VOAD’s CharityTracker. VOAD is gathering information and working closely with partner organizations to assess available resources. As assistance becomes ready, VOAD’s network will collaborate to respond and help meet needs as quickly and thoughtfully as possible. After you complete this form, a VOAD team member will follow up when assistance is ready. You can expect a response within 72 hours.

Visit the January 2026 Winter Weather Response page for details. If you need help completing the form, please call 211.

Hands On Nashville

Hands On is collaborating with the Nashville Office of Emergency Management and the United Way of Greater Nashville to support ongoing response efforts to those affected by Winter Storm Fern.

Here are a few volunteer opportunities for this weekend:

Help Canvass Near Fisk University

On Saturday, February 7th from 11 am – 1 pm, volunteers are needed to canvass a neighborhood near Fisk University to identify residents who need assistance with storm‑related debris removal. This on‑the‑ground outreach is essential for connecting cleanup crews with households that need help the most, and the project requires 20 volunteers to make a meaningful impact.

Support Winter Relief Box Distribution

On Saturday, February 7th from 11 am – 2:30 pm, From Your Father is partnering with Hands On Nashville to assemble and distribute winter relief boxes for neighbors impacted by Winter Storm Fern. Volunteers will help pack essential supplies and ensure they reach families who need them most, providing immediate support during the recovery process.

For more ways to support Winter Storm Fern recovery, visit Hands On Nashville’s disaster volunteer portal at handson.unitedwaygreaternashville.org/winterstorm2026-. New opportunities are added frequently as needs across Davidson County continue to emerge, so check back often to stay involved.

Business Impact Survey Following Winter Storm Fern

Businesses across Middle Tennessee are still experiencing impacts from Winter Storm Fern. The Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce is conducting a brief survey to understand business disruptions and help connect employers to recovery resources. This survey is open to all businesses.

Please share this information with your communities to help keep everyone safe and prepared. Thank you for being a valued part of our community!
