I am forwarding the notice sent out by Council Member Kathleen Murphy regarding the community meeting that she is holding on October 15 at the West End Synagogue to talk about the proposed mixed use project in District 20 on the current 5th 3rd Bank site. The primary focus of the meeting will be scale, massing, materials, and parking, but there may be opportunities to ask questions about traffic when the official program has been completed.
Based on the information from last weeks meeting focusing on traffic coming into the Love Circle area, engineers are working on design for speed humps to ensure that speed limits are observed.

* This Project is located between 440 and West End on Murphy Rd. It is not in our council district but in Council member Ed Kindall's District.
* Developers are proposing a mixed use building for office, hotel and retail uses at 3415 Murphy Rd.
* They have reduced the height from about 300 feet tall to about 200 feet tall. The Scenic Highway Law does not apply becasue this is outside of the boundaries. The 440 Overlay here does not speak to heights but does speak to other design elements.
* This has passed the Planning Commission is will likely be at the Metro Council Public Hearing on Tuesday, November 6th.
