انطلاق موقع معهد الوارف للدراسات الإنسانية

يسعدنا أن نعلن انطلاق موقع "معهد الوارف" في تاريخ 19 يناير2009، باللغة الانكليزية، ولاحقا، في شهر فبراير القادم باللغتين الفرنسية والعربية، وذلك على شبكة الإنترنت العالمية؛ الموقع الذي يشارك في تحريره نخبة من الكتاب العرب والأميركيين من الذين يؤمنون بتوجهات الوارف وأهدافه التنويرية.
معهد الوارف مؤسسة غير ربحية وغير حكومية، تنطلق من العاصمة الأميركية واشنطن على هيئة مركز بحثي، إعلامي، إخباري، مستقل؛ مركز رديف لقوى الحرية والتجديد والتعايش بين الشعوب والثقافات والحضارات كافة، في اتجاه بناء ثقافة إنسانية كبرى وجامعة.
يولي معهد الوارف اهتمامه لمجموعة من القضايا التي تعتبر قاسماً مشتركاً في سلّم الأولويات الإنسانية، وعلى رأسها إشاعة الحريات، وتمكين المواطنة، وتحفيز المجتمع المدني، عبر العالم، مع التركيز بشكل خاص على المناطق التي لا تزال تفتقر إلى أسس تلك الأولويات في دول الشرق الأوسط و شمال إفريقيا والخليج.
تتجه مساهمات الوارف لغرض حماية ودعم حقوق الإنسان، وتعميق الاهتمام بقضايا البيئة والتنمية المستدامة، والتصدي للفقر والهشاشة الاقتصادية والإقصاء الاجتماعي والاحتكار السياسي، وكذا التجديد في مجالي التربية والتعليم؛ القضايا التي تشكّل، مجتمعة، مدخلاً إلى الاستقرار والاندماج الاجتماعيين، وعلاجا موضعياً فاعلاً لاجتثاث أسباب التطرف والإرهاب.
يعمل الوارف على تنمية ثقافة الحرية المسؤولة، ما يسمح بمزيد من مشاركة الأفراد والجماعات في ممارسة مسؤولياتهم تجاه قضايا بلدانهم وشعوبهم، ويقود إلى تحمل كل فرد لمسؤولياته باعتبار كل فرد مسؤولا ولا أحد فوق المساءلة؛ الأمر الذي يساهم في تنمية أساليب الحكامة الرشيدة وترسيخها، وتثبيت ثقافة المساءلة الاجتماعية والقانونية، للمواطنين كافة، بلا استثناءات اعتبارية.
يؤسس الوارف لحوار جاد وندّي بين مختلف الثقافات والحضارات والتجارب الإنسانية من أجل صياغة ثقافة إنسانية مشتركة بين الشعوب؛ ثقافة قادرة على تحقيق توافق إنساني عالمي يشكل ظلا وارفاً يعيش الكل في رحبه في سلام مديد.
