Dear all,
I have been receiving quite a few complaints on the attitude and
the way scouts carry themselves in public. This applies not only to
our own scouts, it applies to other units as well.
For example, I received 2 complaints, one from Razak, senior
executive ssa, and one from Malcolm, Scout Council, on the first day
when I conducted the Venture Cord Exploration Test Nov 2002.
The complaints were our psa candidates were rude and cannot carry
themselves properly in public. Some totally ignored the people from
the Scout Guild when they asked some candidates what they were doing.
The attitude of recent PSA-wannabes were also deteriotating and many
took things for granted that PSA is a 100% guaranteed award to them.
I do urge all TCHS Scouts and Ventures to carry themselves
properly in public so that disgrace would not be brought to the
group.
I also urge that psa-wannabes do not take the pentagon for granted
and work hard towards it. It is your hardwork, and not the leaders',
that finally lead to the achievement of the PSA.
Let me remind all Ventures that Ventures who do not meet the
requirements in terms of attitude and character will not be
recommended for the PSA, regardless of how good their skills are.
