Shorts at School, etc.

Hi Parents,

I'm hoping to respond to a few student's minor confusion -how the 

school looks at allowing students to wear shorts.  First, the

policy as I understand it has been for a long while that shorts

were permitted AFTER the May Fair - May 3rd this year.  During

one two-day period earlier, we expected temp's in the high 70s and

thus allowed an exception - perhaps in hindsight that led to confusion

about when shorts were allowed.  I mention this all because a few

students brought shorts to change into on Wednesday.  

On another note, I am very enthusiastic about our upcoming farm

trip.  I will let the students know closer to the trip about which vehicle

they'll be in for the trip to NH.  If you need a packing list or have other

questions, please feel free to email me or talk  to me after school.

In relation to the farm trip, we will be doing a phone tree on the way home to let you know approximately when your child will arrive back at HVWS for pick up.  Please e-mail me the phone number you would like called for this purpose so I can put them together for Sally.  Thank you, Sally, for volunteering to head up the phone tree for farm trip return!

I figure for this trip, Laura / Eric can call me with an ETA and I can call and/or text everyone -- I can also send out an email.
