Hi Parents,

I hope that you are having a fine Spring Vacation week.  I have been asked several questions
about the farm trip and I thought I would pass along my responses:

1.  Q.:  Do the students need slippers or indoor shoes?

     A:   Yes

2.  Q:   Should I pack any medicines, including over-the-counter headache medicine?

A:  All medicines that the student might use on the trip need to have an (8 and 1/2 x 11 ") note
given to the teacher so that it might be given (please include any instructions).

3.  Q:  How are the student travelling up to NH?
A:   They will travel in the car/van of either Mr.O'Donnell, Mr. Nesto, or Mrs. Wittmer

4.  Q:  What time on Monday (5/6) will they leave?  Return?
A:   We are aiming to leave between 7:15 and 7:30 on Monday morning.  Friday's return will be
sent via a cell phone call to one parent who will start a phone tree (volunteer to head this?).

5.  Q:  What kinds of hats are permitted as a sun hat?
A:  All brimmed hats, with school-appropriate imagery (sports teams - ok) are fine to bring

6.  Q:  Are the showers private?
A:  Yes, but the chaperones will have timers to limit each "shower trip" to 5 minutes; this will
ensure that we all get to where we're going on time.  You may want to practice a fast shower
prior to the trip, dependent on your child's disposition.

7.  Q:  Would you like parents to provide night lights?
A:  Yes, please send them in a bag marked with your family's name so that they might be returned.

I'm looking forward to a great week.  Thank you for sending your wonderful student on this fun and enriching trip.

Best regards, Michael (on behalf of the chaperones)

Thanks Michael & chaperones!

I am happy to coordinate the phone tree. Also willing to drive if needed, but it seems this is covered.

Wondering also when the class is going to meet with the 4th or 5th grade class to talk about the experience kid to kid.

We're heading to Fenway Park today to support the red sox & Boston in general!

I know none of you will be watching the game...but if you were, you might look for us & our big rainbow sign on tv. :)

Love. Sally
