Hi All,
This sounds like FUN, a great way to get your craft noticed, and help a Great Cause.
I am the Program Director for the Stony Kill Foundation. I am in the
process of planning our Harvest Festival at the Stony Kill Farm
Environmental Education Center on Route 9D in Wappingers Falls.
Our Festival will be held on Saturday, October 13, from 11 a.m. to 3
p.m. Our goal is to teach the visitors about life on a farm and
traditional crafts will play a role.
I was hoping that some of the artists that belong to the Guild, who
might have an expertise in one of the traditional crafts: quilting,
candlemaking, pottery, broom making, basketweaving, soapmaking,
needlework, etc., might be interested in coming to the Festival to set
up an area to demonstrate their craft to the visitors. They are
encouraged to bring completed projects, information on who they are,
etc. Unfortunately, since the property is still owned by the NYS DEC, I
am not able to let anyone sell their items at Stony Kill, but they
certainly can share their information with someone interested and
conduct a sale off the property.
Thanks so very much for your help.
