Cider Week NY info

Greetings, NY cider makers!

Cider Week planning has been cooking along and we are ready to confirm your participation. Valerie and I will be reaching out to all producers in the next few days to discuss your partnership, with more information on requested monetary contributions as well as some details we need from you.

(I’ve been hoping for good news about NY State funding, but no answers yet – so we are proceeding with fundraising and planning as before!)

In the meantime, for all who are interested in participating, save these dates – more information coming soon.

TRADE & MEDIA TASTINGS

Mon Sept 17, Swoon Kitchenbar, Hudson NY, 1-3pm 

Tues Sept 18, Astor Center, NYC, 12-4pm 

CIDER WEEK NY: Oct 18 - 27

Kick-off events to include some producers:

Oct 18 - 19: Glynwood events (dinner, tastings, etc.), TBD

Oct 20: "Cider Crawl" in Beacon, NY, day and evening

Oct 20: Goat and cider fest at Roberta's in Brooklyn, NY, 12-6

Oct. 26 - Cider takeover at Smorgasburg in Brooklyn, NY, 10-5

Plus other events throughout the “week”, including:

Possible cider/cheese pairing & tasting discussion at the Wythe Hotel: Oct 18, 6:30 - 8:30pm

(A note on New Amsterdam Market: we’ve discussed with them the possibility of another cider-themed event on Sun Nov 24 (pre-Thanksgiving market). Stay tuned.)
