hello Hudson Valley Cider Alliance!
I hope you caught the "36 hours" column in the NY Times travel section this weekend - featuring the Hudson Valley. The piece gives a link to the Cider Alliance website!
http://travel.nytimes.com/2013/07/28/travel/36-hours-in-the-hudson-valley-new-york.htmlAs you know, we've been due to complete the content needed for this site. We were a bit surprised that they wanted to publish the link, so we scrambled to get some placeholder content up there (
http://cideralliance.com/), but it was a great excuse to move things along more quickly!
We all owe special thanks to Valerie here at Glynwood, who hustled to get some material up there on Friday as soon as we heard about the piece. She will be in touch with each of you soon to get more. I'd like to try to fully populate this site by end of August so we can promote it this fall.
The same writer is going to publish a piece on New York cider for the NYT this fall, too. Hooray!
Lastly - the Peekskill Brewery's Hudson Hop & Harvest Festival will take place on Saturday, October 5, 2013 on Peekskill's Riverfront Green. They are looking for a couple of farms to commit to being there that day. Would any of you be willing to participate, or perhaps have a HVCA table to promote the Cider Alliance, offer samples, sell bottles, etc.?
