Hi Everyone,

Carlo Devito of Hudson-Chatham Winery asked me to extend the invitation below to all of you.  This Taste Camp event sounds like it could be a good opportunity for some pre Cider Week promotion. Please read below and if you are interested in participating you can reply directly to Carlo Devito at  cdde...@aol.com . Or reply here to me and the group and I will forward it along.

I am not involved in organizing this event just passing along the information.

As discussed, October 10th and 11th the combined Drink Local Wine/Taste Camp 2014 will descend on the Hudson Valley. This is a very exciting opportunity for HV producers to get their wines, ciders, and spirits in front of 20-30 wines and spirits writers from around the country. This is a great way to promote your product - especially on the eastern seaboard with writers from Washington DC and NYC in attendance. This is really a huge thing!!!!

his is as much so for the cider producers as it is for the wineries an distilleries. As you can see from the information below, we have a full two days, with four Grand Tastings, and more than 50 producers participating.

The cider tasting will be on Saturday, October 11, at Hudson-Chatham Winery. Vendors will share two to a table to promote their ciders to food writers from around the country. THIS IS NOT AN EVENT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. THIS IS ONLY OPEN TO PRODUCERS AND WRITERS.

I encourage STRONGLY that producers bring their best three HIGH END products. LIMIT THREE PRODUCTS PER PRODUCER. And as much marketing material as you like - rack cards, business cards, small give aways. No banners.

This is a high end, discerning crowd. We want to bring wines, beers, and spirits that are ONLY THE BEST.

It's not a heavy pouring crowd. Bring three bottles of each, but you might only go through two.

Producers must be there by noon to set up their product.

I really hope many of your folks take advantage of this huge opportunity. We encourage as many people to participate as possible. You are encouraged to come and speak about your product, or simply to send something. We will have knowledgeable pourers standing by.

 Best

Carlo
