Anyone else thinking of going?
Might there be enough of us from around here to rent a van for the day?
Of course - it would be nice to go with others we don’t know and make new connections and friends too…

Dear friends,

Support for state divestment has been growing in exciting ways. In fact, bill S. 1225 is only one of four bills at the MA State House still allive as the legislative session comes to a close. After lots of hard work, we’re waiting to see what happens and will keep you posted. In the meantime, we’re excited to be preparing for the People’s Climate March in New York!

On Sunday, September 21st, tens of thousands of people from every part of the globe will march through the streets of Manhattan. We'll call for an economy that works for people and the planet and demand immediate action to confront the climate crisis.

Will you be there?

The climate movement in Massachusetts has grown by leaps and bounds over the past few years. Friends and allies in other states tell us over and over that they look to Massachusetts as a model. The People's Climate March is an opportunity to show the power of our movement and make our voices heard on a world stage.

Better Future Project/350 Massachusetts is planning to bring hundreds of people to New York for the March, including 350 Massachusetts activists, Climate Summer alumni, faith communities, and others. Please register for buses if you're planning to attend!

We'll need as much help as we can get to make the march a reality -- if you're interested in helping with logistics, outreach, or planning, fill out our volunteer sign up form.

This is a chance to bend the arc of history. It's time to take to the streets.

See you there!  After the march, let’s have some bagels and pizza together.

-Eli

PS: Massachusetts has more towns and religious congregations divested than other state. Please fill out this form if you want info about being a Divestment District Captain to help with state divestment. And please fill out this form if you want to get if you resources and support for a campaign to help your town/city or religious congregation to divest.

I’m interested—numbers matter.  We could just sign up for going on one of the 350MA buses. It is a good opportunity to meet other people and be part of the group. I did that  for the no KXL march in Washington last year.

Local participation is also a way to get more local participation.

Let’s make a pact to just do it.

Sydney
