Hi

Yesterday I attended the official opening of the new Stokes Valley Locky Dock Station. The first of 5 new locations in the Hutt. Hopefully these will be helpful with safer locking of your bike when you are out and about:)

In the link below, you’ll find a brief overview and Images of the 5 locations.

Thanks Elaine
Who did  they consult?
Just parking services?
Esplanade one looks like bikes will be where cars drive to the coffee cart  rather than out of the way of moving cars.
It could be nearer the loo (soon to be rebuilt).

Hi Graeme

HCC first starting talking to us about new Locky Docks in 2022. There was to be a workshop, which we can't remember.  Matt was coordinating that - did it happen? Then last year Damla  (our current HCC  contact - who leaves next week😩) sent us a list of 11 possible locations for comment.  We did that.  At that point the Petone suggestions were Buick Street and Jackson Street, nothing on the Esplanade.  Not sure what's happened after that.  I'll try to get a bit more info regarding the Petone one.  Anyone else know more?
