Hi folks!
FYI, an update on the Taita connections work…

 

Subject: Community Connections Taitā Update

 

Kia ora Hutt Cycle Network, see below for a brief update on the shared path work happening in Tāita:

 

With better weather lately (although not so great today!) work has been humming along for Community Connections.

 

Our teams will be wrapping up on site from 22 December 2025 and will return in the new year from 12 January 2026.

 

So far, we've completed:

• The shared path running through the Taine Street Reserve, and along Tocker Street.
• The raised crossings on Tocker Street,

 

 

Our teams are currently working along Taine Street, Reynolds Street and beside Fraser Park. All sites will be packed up and made safe before we finish up for 2025. 

 

You may have also noticed other work happening in the area. Wellington Water has completed some pipe renewals along Reynolds Street while our traffic management was in place for Community Connections, meaning less overall disruption to traffic through the area.

 

We appreciate the everyone's support and patience while we get this important work done to provide safer and more accessible transport options for the community.
