Every PowerPoint presentation you create contains a slide master with related slide layouts and a theme. You can customize the slide master and the related layouts to make them work with the text and other objects that you want to put on your slides.

In Slide Master view, the slide master is at the very top of the thumbnail pane, with related layouts beneath it. Click to select that master slide, and then select Master Layout on the Slide Master tab.

Visio master shapes supplied by Microsoft Corporation are copyrighted. You may copy and reorganize them for your own use, modify them for your own use, and distribute drawings that contain them. You may not sell or distribute original or modified Visio master shapes.

Make the changes that you want to the master shape in the new window.
For more information about how to make changes to the appearance of a shape, see Format a shape or Draw a shape with the Pencil, Line, Arc, or Freeform tools.

The ability to Edit the master of a new or pre-made template will help create a uniform look throughout the yearbook, a unique Google Slides presentation, or an assignment template like the Style Guide shared earlier on this section.

Any guides set in regular Edit mode of Google Slides do not transfer to the Edit master mode. You will have to set the guides again. Hey, Google! Please add built-in options so that we don't have to hand type these measurements over and over again.

Hi Nekir and welcome to the forum. I don't completely understand the issue you're reporting because your screenshot doesn't show everything I'd like to see, so let me know if I have this right. While editing detached, you've selected a group on a master page layer. The group is shown as visible in the Layers panel but the content of the group is not shown on the actual page. Is this accurate?

I found the trick. Because I made all master page double side, when I set up the master page only one side left or right the system show me on the layer panel its a left or right side master layer. But this layers contain both side icon packs the left and right page too. When I toggled down example the right side master layer I have lot of under layer and I did't recognized its contain both sides layer and I tried change every time the first pack what I saw and this was the left side pack. This was the reason if I tried to change the left side page its worked and if I want the right side page it didn't because both time I tried to change the left side pictograms. Sorry It seems to me I need to learn more few things about the publisher.

Can't get to the master component when selected 'edit master in source document'. It opens up the source XD document and the progress bar for opening up the document shows complete and freezes but after that it doesn't navigate to the master component. I can't close out of that file either. I can just minimize it but can't close.

I've created a theme for my department based on the Harmony content library layouts, but with our color and logo on the master slides. However when I try to create slides using this theme in scene view, I'm unable to edit the text that is being pulled from the master view.

For example, my welcome slide in master view has a text box for "Your main course title". When I apply this layout to my slide, it has the "Your main course title" box but doesn't allow me to click in it to edit the title. I can edit the text in master view, but isn't part of the point of master slides to have text boxes that can be edited as needed in scene view? If I select a non-Harmony-based slide layout I can edit it just fine.

Alyssa you're right! When I add a placeholder text box on the master slide it does indeed work properly in slide view. Do you know if there's a way to tell Storyline to convert the text boxes into placeholders when modifying a content library theme to suit our needs, so we don't need to do this with every text box in the theme?

Use one master page as a 'master-master'(A). This is the skeleton page that will only contain f.ex. numbering and title of document. Then add new master (B, C) for f.ex. one section of the document, which perhaps contain content specific to each section. When creating master (B, C) select 'Based on master: (A)'. Now define which pages in your document will use master B or C. You won't actually have to use master A. Now when you want to change numbering or title you only change master A. This trickles down to master B and C, and this again trickles down to your actual document pages that are set to using master B and C.

Before learning how to edit a master slide in Google Slides, you need to know what a master slide is. A master slide is a tool that you use when you want all of your slides to have the same font and images. With the slide master tool, you can make changes to one slide and have it apply to all the slides. There are two types of Google Slides master slides that can be used.

If this is what you were refering to, then I agree that when copying components from the master to the user database everything should be copied for that component including all the original footprints.

Judging by the date of this post, this thread may be dead, but nonetheless it needs to be addressed. I am in the same boat as Greg, specifically that I would like to edit the master database collection of resistors to change the default footprints that Multisim presents to me. I agree with Greg that you should be able to do an "all at once" edit of these parts in which by changing the available footprints on one specific resistor (say 1k), you also change the available footprints for the rest of the resistor values. Whats worse is that you cant even copy these templated resistors to a user database for editing, they seem to be locked into the master database and completely uneditable until they are placed onto the schematic. I understand NI's reasoning behind locking the master database parts, but there should still be an option to create your own templated resistors/capacitors/inductors etc with the footprints of your choosing. Does NI have any plans to release a feature such as this? Or is there already a means to accomplish this in version 10.1? Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated

As it seems, the Master-ID is saved at filler_3 (to my surprise, there is no mention of it in _hotlinktype ).
So I converted it to a string and tried to print it out with DG::InformationAlert, but i only receive an empty string. Why does it behave that way? Where is the master-id saved? I'm so confused and there are no ressources that cover the master-id

A parent page (previously known as master page) is like a background that you can quickly apply to many pages. Objects on a parent page appear on all pages applied. Parent page items that appear on document pages are surrounded by a dotted border. Changes you make to a parent page are automatically applied to associated pages that commonly contain repeating logos, page numbers, headers, and footers. They can also contain empty text or graphic frames that serve as placeholders on document pages. A parent item cannot be selected on a document page unless overridden.

Sometimes I need to create workouts or access and assign workouts from my personal master workout library for/to clients but can't sit down at desk and computer to do it. Would like full access from phone app. I would like to have same access in app as a coach that I have when I am logging in from online. I want to be able to see and access all the same tabs (payments, workout, programs, etc. I need to be able to go into my app and assign a workout to my clients (regardless of training phase).

There have been many times when I have needed to change a client from one program to another, or I am wanting to add to my clients current programs. But I can only do this from the desktop web app, not the mobile app. And when I am super busy or not an actual computer it makes it impossible. It would be great to be able to access my master workouts and programs from the mobile app

Let me preface this problem with what I am trying to accomplish by editing a Master page. My boss wants to get rid of the Gear (SharePoint settings) for anyone who doesn't have edit access to the site. What I've learned is that I must edit the master page to do this. I've seen some Java scripts that would get rid of the Gear too, but those were for SharePoint Online. If anyone has a Javascript that would do what I need for my on-premise site, please feel free to share, otherwise:

When I open up a site for either of these web applications in SharePoint Designer and try to edit a master page (Oslo or Seattle), I get the message "Master page editing has been disabled for this site. Contact the site collection administrator to request permission."

So I search the Internet and find that there is a SharePoint Designer link under the site's Site Settings -> Site Collection Administration area. So I go to the Site Collection Administration settings area and that link is not listed. So I check my permissions using Site Settings -> Users and Permissions -> Site Permissions. As expected there are no explicit limitations to my permissions. So I am stumped as to why I can't edit the master page.

You wont be able to edit from the load script as its a master item. You can create master measures using the engine API and a lot of other stuff like creating sheets, master measures, dimensions etc but I don't think editing all the 200 master items in one go is possible yet.

That is due to them being placed in the master slides. What is a master slide, we hear you ask? Keep reading to know more about them and how to access them so that you can customize the templates even more!
