Thesis Template and Remarks

1- Template:

Please kindly refer to the following template for your thesis:

2- Other things besides the main content

For the content, make sure to have:

- abstract

- table of content

- table of figures and abbreviations

- author contribution (to say who does what - in case of more than 1 students/group)

- reference

- appendix

- The thesis is accompanied with a CD, where you copy all the related doc, ppt, drawing, codes, pdf,.. 

3- How long and how short

- It is advisable to have your thesis in about 4-5 chapters only.

- 80-100 pages per thesis per student. Though, it is not advisable to have thesis longer than 200 pages even with group thesis.

- Acceptable printed items for the appendix are: detail design drawing, graph. They are not counted to the total pages of the main content stated above.

- Do not print the codes as appendix. Put it into a CD (see above)

- Final thesis should be hard-bounded. Print them on both sides to save paper and save trees.

- It is required to make 1 copy only of your thesis. It is up to you to make more copies for your promoters, opponents and yourself.

4- Remark procedure

- bring the thesis at least 1 week before the defense to your promoter to get her/his the remarks first

- bring the thesis to the opponent to get the opponent's remarks. 

The remarks should be given in the space available inside the thesis book,, NOT in a separate sheet of paper.
