I am Eric Hussey a direct descendant of Thomas Hussey,South River. My
interest is to go back as far as possible before Thomas.
I would also like to prove which coat of arms if any we belong to. The
coat of arms in my possession is the "Barry of six erm and gu" which is
common through the Hussey Clan. On the top is "A boot sa. spurred or,
topped erm" This coat of arms appears on the earliest Rolls of arms
such as St. George's Roll of circa 1285 My research shows under Knights
of Edward I The "barry of 6 erm. and gu" belonged to Huse, Sr Henry
Kt.(Hoese,Huse,Husse} The arms also appear again to Hussey, Sr.Hugh
le,Kt.(Hose).Knighted by the Prince of Wales 22May 1306. A visitation
of Dorsetshire, 1623 show the arms again with a Green Cross as part of
the original "Boot spurred and leathered or," This appears to be a
direct linage from Wm. Conq. Hub t Hussey = Hellen da. of Rich. the
third of that name Duke of Normandie, up until Tho. Hussey of Tomson =
Mary da.of Tho. Baskett in com. Dorset The motto is "Cor Mobile Cor
Immobyle"

Hi Eric,
I was just given a tattered copy of the Hussey Coat of Arms from my
mother
that she had saved for me. (Your gonna love this.....); she got it
about 20 years
ago from our neighbour Albert Hussey (no relation yet), in which I have

traced his line back to Newfoundland to the Upper Island Cove Hussey's
clan
back to Joseph Hussey b 1727. He'd always say were the Hussey's and
they
were the Huzzey's! Attached is a copy of the Coat of Arms scanned at 85

resolution and is 1.9 mb (Mega Bites). If anyone wishes a copy of this
and
has an email box that can accept 1.9 mb file, let me know.

Google has a 1MB limit on uploaded files. I'll see if we can come up with a workaround.
