Wiladat Of Hazrat Imam Ali Naqi A.S Mubarak!!!

Rauza Hazrat Imam Ali Naqi A.S(Askaryain)

The 15th day of the month of Zilhajj is the Yaum-e-Wiladat of our 10th Imam, Hazrat Ali Naqi A.S. His honourable name is Ali and He is the fourth Imam divinely named Ali. Ali the 1rst ,is our first Imam A.S, Ali the 2nd is our fourth Imam A.S, Ali the 3rd is our eighth Imam A.S and the fourth Ali is our tenth Imam A.S. His epithet is Abul-Hasan-e-Thaalith which means Abul-Hasan the third.

Hazrat Imam Ali Naqi A.S was born in Madina in a small place called Surayya and was only 6 years old when His holy father Imam Muhammad Taqi A.S was martyred in 220 A.S. The holy Imam lived peacefully in Madina for more than 22 years and where He continued His propagation of Islam and guiding people to the right path. In Baghdad after the death of Mamoon Rashid , Motasim Billah came to the power and was later followed by Wasiq Billah and he was followed by the worst king and the worst enemy of the Ahlul-Bayt A.S ever, Motawakkil. A report from the governor of Madina was sent to Motawakkil in Baghdad, in which he was informed about the current situation there. The governor wrote that the people in Madina was following the Imam and that Imam had completely earned the faith of the people.

The fresh news evoked more and more jealousy against the holy Imam A.S. Under the cover of pretended respect and love for the Imam Naqi A.S , Motawakkil now wrote a letter of an invitation to Baghdad. Imam Naqi A.S was well aware of Motawakkil's clear intention but was ready to leave Madina beacause this was the will of Allah. When Imam arrived at Samarrah Motawakkil did not pay attention to Imam’s arrival. When Motawakkil was asked about where the holy Imam should stay , he said that He would be taken to the territory of the beggars and homeless people. Thereafter the holy Imam was replaced in the custody of a stonehearted man named Zarraqui.

But the hate towards the Imam turned to love for the Imam. When Motawakkil was informed about this he transferred the Imam to the custody of an other cruel man. Despite this torture and this imprisonment Imam Naqi A.S kept on with His prayers and fasting. Motawakkil who was a very vicious king forbade the lovers of the Ahlul-Bayt to visit the grave of Imam Husain A.S. He even tried to demolish the holy grave but of course he failed to do it. When the faithful beleivers despite this threat went to ziarat , Motawakkil arrested them , tortured them , cut off their hands and then ordered to kill them. But despite this torture people kept on coming to the ziarat and Motawakkil failed.

During the reign of Motawakkil a woman named Zainab came to him and claimed that she was Zainab the daughter of Imam Ali A.S. When Motawakkil didn’t know the way to reveal her lying, he asked the Imam for a solution. Imam Ali Naqi A.S answered that the flesh of the offspring of the Prophet S.A.W is forbidden for the beasts. Send her into the cage of the lions for her to prove her truth. On hearing this the woman began to tremble and confessed that she faked. But due to the doubt bin Imam Naqi A.S Motawakkil sent the holy Imam into the cage. And to his surprise he witnessed the lions in prostration before Imam Naqi A.S.

Motawakkil had three sons : 1. Muntasir Billah 2. Musta’een Billah 3. M’otaz Billah all just like their father in cruelness. One by one came to the power after Motawakkil's death. At last when M’otaz was the ruler of Baghdad he martyred Imam Naqi A.S by poisoning Him.

Imam Ali Naqi A.S is buried in Samarrah together with His son, Imam Hasan Askari A.S . The holy mother of the 12th Imam A.S and Janabe Hakeema Khatoon(the sister of the 10th Imam) are also buried beneath this tomb of Askaryain.

We extend our heartly greetings to Imam-e-Zamana A.S and to all momeneen and momenaat.
