2016 Huntsville Ultimate Summer League <ANNOUNCEMENT>

Good Morning Everyone!

It seems like 2015 HUSL just finished, but we are already gearing up for the next summer league. 

It is time to ask for OPEN and COED league captains. Please let me know if you want to captain, and if you have a co-captain.  (open league doesn't have to have a co-captain).  Coed league male-female pairings have preference over male-male captains.  Please no "super groups" pairings (baggage listings are required at sign-ups).

-Open League registration begins on March 17th (Tuesday night play)

-Coed League registration begins on March 19th (Thursday night play)

-If you would like to play in BOTH leagues, you can sign up on March 27th.  We will hold at least 30 spots for people who want to play in both leagues. 

-Late registration (additional fees apply) on March 31st.

**Any registration after 6 April, with the exceptions of new recruits, may not be placed on a team.

The number of Coed league male slots will be based on the number of women that we have in the league. We will be periodically closing male registration, in the coed league, until we have enough women to fulfill our ratio needs.  PLEASE recruit women to play HUSL this year.  Our league size is based off of women players (and city field availability).

Here's the projected schedule for 2016:

April 10: Team captains' draft night

April 12 or 14: HUSL "meet your team cookout and pick-up games

April 14 or 19 - July 21: HUSL regular season games

July 26 (Tuesday): All-star game and cookout

July 28: Rain date

July 30 (Saturday): END OF SEASON TOURNAMENT (all teams guaranteed inclusion)

***LEAGUE LOGO & THEME CONTEST***

-Please send me any designs you may have for this year's theme.  All designs need to be in ai (adobe) or vector format.  I will give a free registration for the winning design (up to $65 value).  Submissions are due no later than April 7th.  If you have a good design idea, but aren't a designer, let me know and I'll try to sync you up with someone and you can split the winnings.

Do not use any of the following themes (used in recent history): 2015 NASA/Space, 2014 Do the HUSL 70's, 2013 Superstitions, 2012 Apocalyptic, 2011 Condiments, 2010 Board Games, 2009 Road Signs,

All players will receive a jersey, a disc, and 2 cook-out opportunities.

Just a reminder that HUSL registration is now OPEN (late fees apply in a week). Please go online and register.  We will close male registration in the coed league without more female registrants.
