2017 Huntsville Ultimate Summer League - *Call For Captains* and League information

Good Morning Ultimate People,

The 2017 Huntsville Ultimate Summer League is quickly approaching and now it's time to establish captains, league theme, and dates.

If you would like to be a captain, please send me an email.  I request that there are 2 captains per team and I prefer coed pairs if at all possible. Here are some requirements to be a captain:

1: Register on-time (especially men before it's capped): **REGISTRATION OPENS 2 April and closes 16 April**

2. Attend no less than 70% of your games (15ish games total)

3. Super-group captain pairings will get last option to captain. Try having a male-female partnership. (No 2- first round males or 2 -first round females captaining together unless I have no other options).

4.  Spirit of the Game is the most important thing. Captains will have to sign the SOTG, code of conduct, and rules knowledge document prior to the draft. 

5. Get cones (if this is an issue, let me know and I will try to lend you some). 

6. I will be assigning "FIELD CAPTAINS" each week for calling games, at the fields, for inclement weather. 

**Things to Know about this year's HUSL** (all dates subject to change)

1. Draft night is 23 April (required for captains only; send a surrogate or send me your draft list if you can't make it)

2. Meet and greet night is 27 April 

3. First official game is 4 May

4. All Star night is 25 July

5. EOS is 5 August

6. HUSL will be all Coed teams, unless there are enough additional players to make a Tuesday night open league. I will have Thursday night games in Huntsville and Madison (most likely).

7. Looking for volunteers to help me run this league. I need dependable/honest people that are organized and who have a little bit of spare time.

Finally, if you're interested in helping create the logo/theme for this year's jerseys, please send me your artwork. A few things you need to know prior to sending artwork.:

1. I need it in jpeg, ia or vector format and it has to be a high quality rendering. If it's a drawing, lines have to be thick enough to be traced and scanned.

2. It can not be an image of a copyright logo. Anything too similar, to something that is copyrighted, will be denied by our manufacturers.

3. If your logo wins, you will receive your HUSL league fee for FREE. (Does not include HUC membership).

4. Deadline for logo/theme submission is April 16th.
