to Hurricane shelters in emergencies
Hello,
Regarding the community buildings has anyone considered precast concrete? Panels could be poured at the local concrete plant or on site on top of a floor slab. The panels if done correctly would be extremely strong. There would be a possibility that rubble from existing concrete in buildings could be pulverized to use as aggregate in the concrete. It appears that there is plenty of concrete and masonry experience in Haiti. With a little education on appropriate mix designs and rebar placement it would be an easy structure to make and install.
