In your March 25th, document named 'Concept Note SAFE COMMUNITY
CENTRE’S' do you have any of the pricing for the models and designs in
your draft? I ask this only because i think economy of scale is
important.
Respectably,
Derek

Greetings from Port au Prince. Hope this message finds you well.
Thank you for showing interest for the hurricane resistant "safe
community centres".
Yes we do have an indicative budget for the implementation but I dont
share those figures externally as it is not the only indicator. At
least as important are the opportunities to re-use the structures as
is the time for development, shipping and implementation as we only
have a few months before the hurricane season.
With kind regards,
Felix

We offer a "rapid response mobile shelter system" that would be an
excellent fit for this project.
Let me explain...
I work with Adaptive Methods and we are located in the Washington DC
area and at the request of the US Army, our company in partnership
with the Y-12 National Security Complex developed a "Rapid Deployment
Shelter System" (RDSS) that is a 400 sq ft unit that can be deployed
by “one person” in under “two minutes”. At the touch of a button
these units unfold from a standard 20 ft shipping container into a
self-sufficient unit with on-board generator and heating and air
conditioning system. It is self-contained and it can run 72+ hours of
continuous operation without refueling (diesel). It can also easily
transition from an on board generator to off board power by a simple
flip of a switch.
The RDSS Units can be deployed around the world for disaster relief
and humanitarian assistance. They can be easily preconfigured for a
variety of applications including school classrooms, hurricane
resistant community centers, offices, first aid stations, medical
triage, barracks, housing quarters as well as security command and
control shelters.
We can configure these units for just about any type of application
you require and we build them to your exact requirements. The skin of
these units can also be completely branded as well.
Here is a link to a video on our units: (http://
www.adaptivemethods.com/products/RDSS.html)
How can I send you further pictures and diagrams of our units?
Please let me know how I can get involved and support you in this
project. Is their a deadline? I am interested.
I will look forward to hearing back from you.
All the best,
Please vist http://sites.google.com/site/usagreenbuilt/ to see some
models we have designed for Haiti and let me know if any of the
current designs are close to what you are seeking. Also, regarding the
school you are trying to rebuild, i have some designs i can forward to
you, if you are interested. Also, we have completed all shipping and
delivery details, so our prices include everything, is this what you
are looking for? Is each building intended to shelter 40 people? I
assume that these shelters are in case a hurricane is coming so people
can be safe from a hurricane, right?
Sincerely,
Derek Runion

All of our buildings can be reused or moved without any issues. Is a
20ft x 20ft building, what you are seeking proposals for? Do you want
the proposals to include shipping, delivery, and labor to erect?
