It's a new style by Balázs Nagy that has a rounded back (built from staves like a a lute-back), but with the flat sides of a guitar-body. It's got a lot of advanced features. One of them is a new type of tangent that is adjustable front-back like a metal tangent, but built with the body of a regular wooden tangent. It has push-button capos and a third chanterelle string, two dogs, as well as built in pre-amp/pickups/tuner, etc. I saw the instrument before it was complete when I visited Balázs in October and really liked the shape.
If anyone is in the market for a good instrument that goes beyond the basic to allow for some options normally found on really high-end (and pricey) instruments, this might be a good option for you.
(Full disclosure: I've worked with Balázs on translating the text for the page, but I am not getting any financial benefit from posting this. I actually wish I could pick it up myself.)
Best,
Arle
