Just a little example of modern use of the HG in Galiza, NW of Spain (where Santiago de Compostela is, and maybe the oldest depiction of a HG exists, in the Portico da Gloria of the St. James Cathedral there)

this is a recent version of a mediaeval song, "Romance de Don Gaifeiros". You'll notice they are lipsyncing (TV shows love that, it's annoying). The sound is from the CD they released two years ago.

P.S. there's no trompette in the Galician style whatsoever, just so you know.

Hallo,

nice video! What to expect next?

Less spectacuar, but also funny this guy from Bavaria playing Weichselbaumer Alto to a funky "folk tune" … Enjoy.

Also, you may want to check Stefan Strubinger's  other videos. His
bandoneon hip-hop version of the old folk song "Hans bleib da" (Hans, stay here!) is worth watching. (You have to stand the introduction …)

Best regards,
Uli
