Hi, Jay,

I cannot make it to OTW this year but I do have an instrument I could sell for much less than range mentioned. However, it is a tekero, Hungarian hurdy gurdy, built by Barsony. It's tuned differently from French-Style HGs (also some differences in technique) and therefore one would not be able to play that along with people laying French-Style instruments. That said, it has a really cool sound, generally deeper and the buzz is not so much bee-like as - well, I'm not sure how to describe it, but I love the sound. It also has a nice feel in the lap. You can almost feel the rumble in you belly. I love the instrument - just don't have time for multiple instruments.

Any interest - my phone # is 805-343-0605 (cell 805-406-3528) in California.

Hey Trish;

Thanks for the quick reply and for helping me to clarify my request.
I'm actually looking for a starter instrument that will allow me to
work on technique while I await the arrival of a HG that is currently
being built for me, and will hopefully arrive sometime in the Spring.
To that end, the French style instrument is a must.

Peace
Jay

Thought that might be so but gave it a try.

Hope your wait for the one being built goes quickly.

Trish
