Hi all,

Sorry for the late update, but as mentioned in last month's email chain, we will be discussing Phillip Wadler's paper "Theorems for Free!" with Mark Carringer leading the discussion. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow, and I've attached the paper in case anyone hasn't had a chance to look over it yet.

I'll go ahead and admit that I didn't understand this paper all that well. I do have some thoughts and questions, and a few slides, so maybe we can all discuss it and you can explain a few things to me!

For those interested there's a video describing the equation of time cam from the long now's 10000 year clock - https://vimeo.com/54309045

It mechanically corrects for the difference between solar time and atomic time adjusting for the changes in the earth's orbit/wobble/etc..
