May Day
May 1st
International Workers' Day
It goes by many names. But this date is a date of celebration, unity,
and remembrance of the struggles of oppressed and working peoples all
over the World.
Throughout the world and right here in this city people continue to
fight for Justice, Liberty, and Liberation. A righteous call for the
tens of millions of immigrants in this country or the 1 out of 9 Black
men that are incarcerated in this country. They are noble words for
the world's majority struggling to fight for real power in the hands
of the people against US Imperialism in Iraq, in the Philippines, in
Puerto Rico.
If you stand behind the people of this world against global
exploitation, oppression, and Imperialism. WEAR RED ON MAY 1st!
Better yet, if you want to be a part of a movement to contribute to
fighting such systemic oppression and symptomatic injustices, join us
and Rally outside Hunter West on MAY 1st at 12 PM!
We will be rallying with the Professional Staff Congress outside.
SDS will then leave to Union Square to join thousands of others
rallying in the city.
