Life is better with Hungarian dance.
All of the great Hungarian bands are gathering together at Jalopy, a haven of fiddle music in Brooklyn.
The lineup is outstanding: Életfa Hungarian folk with the amazing Jake Shulman-Ment with the astounding Zoë Aqua, with the up-and-coming all-stars Fészer Banda, and with the glorious Zina Bozzay in an rare East Coast performance. It's also a rare chance to hear me on the 3-string bass. Get ready for a boot-slapping Hungarian dance party!
If that weren't enough, we will start with a set of Jewish dance music with, well, my kids and friends.
New addition: Zina Bozzay will give a Hungarian singing workshop 3-5pm.
