to Human Trafficking Conference at Chapman University
Hello there VietACT Friends!
On December 10th is International Human Rights Night. As you all might
know, VietACT put on a Human Rights Night last year. We hope to do the
same this year on Saturday December 15th. UVSA initiated the first
meeting over phone conference on Monday. TONIGHT/Wednesday, there will
be a meeting at the UVSA office to work on the Program and other
details. Below are the meeting minutes from the call on Monday.
On the call tonight, we had:
Phong (To^?ng Ho^.i Sinh Vie^n/Union of Vietnamese Students
Association)
James (To^?ng Ho^.i Sinh Vie^n/Union of Vietnamese Students
Association)
Van (VietACT -Vietnamese Alliance to Combat Trafficking)
Tammy (VietACT -Vietnamese Alliance to Combat Trafficking)
Duong (Gio*'i Tre? Co^ng Gia'o Anaheim)
Gia (Gia DDi`nh Pha^.t Tu*? Ba?o Quang AND will check with GDPT Mie^`n
Qua?ng DDu*'c regarding participation)
Julie (Vietnamese American High School Alliance)
Nam (Vietnamese American High School Alliance)
Benny (Ho^.i Sinh Vie^n Co^ng Gia'o/Vietnamese Catholic Student
Association)
Lilly (DDoa`n Thanh Nie^n Phan Bo^.i Cha^u)

Tue-Anh (will check with Hu*ng Ca Tuo^?i Tre? Phu` DDo^?ng regarding
participation)
So we all agreed that the International Prayer Night for Human Rights
(DDe^m Ca^`u Nguye^.n Cho Nha^n Quye^`n) will be SATURDAY, DECEMBER
15th from 5-7pm. Phong will be checking with Viet Bao and Nguoi Viet
for their availabilities.
Suggestions for program: candle light vigil, prayer, slideshow,
concrete action items, performances, etc...
PR Strategies: Will talk to our individual orgs, press releases,
radio, newspapers, emails to list serves, etc...
NEXT MEETING: Wednesday, December 5th at 7PM at UVSA Office: 12821
Western Avenue, Suite H, Garden Grove, CA 92841 (office lights will be
turned on, so you'll see it right away when you turn onto Western from
Garden Grove)
TO PREP FOR MEETING: Start thinking of any performances that you,
your group or friends that you know will be able to contribute to the
program (singing a song, skit, spoken word, playing an instrument,
etc..) that will tie in with human rights...
